In the company restaurant, five stations illustrated how quality permeates all areas of the business – from goods receipt to the finished can. To reach as many employees as possible, the stations were designed to be varied and interactive. For example, a "spot the difference" puzzle about foreign objects encouraged close observation, and the trainees presented their own station on "Quality in Everyday Life." Another station showcased the various raw materials and their specific characteristics. The station on food safety culture was particularly impressive: under black light, participants could check how thoroughly they had actually cleaned their hands. This clearly demonstrated the importance of proper hand hygiene.
“The message of our Quality Day is: Quality begins with each individual,” says Wiebke Oetjen, Head of the Tinplate Division, who organized the event together with Lena Kiegeland, Quality Management employee. “For our high production standards, it is crucial that we all pull together and strengthen awareness of quality in all areas. A heartfelt thank you goes to the booth development teams who contributed to the success of the day with their great commitment and creative ideas.”
Interest was high: Around 250 employees from all three shifts took advantage of the opportunity to gather information and exchange ideas at the booths from early morning until late at night. A raffle with attractive prizes such as JBL speakers, softshell jackets, and lunchboxes also generated excitement. Refreshments were also provided: The company restaurant team treated guests to freshly baked waffles, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
